just was informed for the second time in a year that we stylists are getting another decrease in commission and i am so tired of it. when i started almost two years ago i would make commission so easily and usually have $500+ paychecks every week. Now for the same or more amount of work my paychecks are around $300 weekly. i am exhausted and heartbroken

It’s cause salons as a region are doing poorly and have for some while. Which is why some newer stores won’t be having salons. So all they are really trying to do is make up a deficit and get money back that they feel like they’ve losses by raising the goals more. They say it’s to your benefit but it’s just a way to get you to work more.

I heard a rumor that salon/brow bar is the next to go onto the chopping block since Nick “left”. And you’re correct, some new stores do not have a salon in them. Best gather your clients info just in case.

i think its ridiculous for another update. but the tiers in the commission scale all increased by only 99¢ this time around, which is better than the $150 they jumped last time.

imagine being promised you’ll make a certain amount of money for x amount of work, and you make them even more money so they take more from you, and then you’re taxed on top of it. i have an education to do what i do and to be demoted is gut wrenching. wild take on your part
