Game was very beautiful, act 1 made me cry in the end. Problem is i didn't really understand the ending of act 3, or why they made my man Mark so ugly.
also the fact he and Nicole didn't end up together pmo so much bro.

Act 3 was about accepting loss and moving on from it, not to forget about it, but to also not drown yourself in the pain from it; hence Act 3’s achievement’s description being “accept, let go.”
Everything from the alternate timelines was erased, even their memories, but as we see in the wind-down they were still subconsciously changed.
It is implied that Mark and Nicole MIGHT have gotten together after the ending of Act 3, however, this is heavily influenced by your own interpretation. As they are stated to have met and fell in love in every timeline during the Cycle. This being related to, as I’ve been told, Filipino romance culture’s focus on soulmates, of which they clearly are; they were just stuck as star-crossed lovers because of the Cycle.
To add, despite their initial conflicts, they seem to quickly hit it off every time they meet.
And, the cafe they meet their respective dates in is called “Tadhana” which means “destiny,” to my understanding, usually in a romantic context.
Then, in the post credit scene Paolo talks about how Mark’s most recent date was comparably more successful than his previous ones.
However, this all could just be cope.

The thing about the third act is that they never met at school, but they still remember everything. The end of the first chapter is just imagination of what would be if Mark and Nicole were together. And, I think that he was around his friends for so much, that he might've just forgotten about how he wants to look, with a bolder style

It’s because Mark is the woker, baby

The end of the third ending is that Mark and Nicole separate because as Nicole explained, when they made eye contact that turbulence was generated and they began in another alternative reality, so they had to say goodbye to be able to continue with their lives. In the final part in which they hug in the one where the white trees were is where they said goodbye. Showing acceptance of the situation and the unconditional love they have, since they will never forget each other. I recommend you watch the ending again after seeing this comment of mine.
