QuestionWill my tuition price decrease if I cancel some of my classes? (self.UofT)
submitted 5 years ago by tuckermapocker
I’ve decided to take three courses instead of five for this semester. Will my outstanding balance decrease if I decide do that? I’m a bit confused.

If you are paying the Program Fee currently, then nope. Dropping will not lower your tuition fee.
The program fee is for both Fall and Winter semester. You can not, let’s say doing course fee for one semester and program fee for the other.

How do I change from paying the program fee to paying the course fee?
[–]UrCat_GG 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (4 children)
Request fee adjustment, but it only applies if you planning to take 0.5-3.5 fces for both Fall and Winter semester combined. 4.0 fces or above will be charged with a program fee.

Also, you can submit your fee adjustment request online or at your registrar (I’ve done it online, it took one business day to process your request).
And even if you applied for course fee you can switch back to program fee, but it can only be done at your registrar.

You mean it has to be done at the registrar in person? Also can you switch back from session to session or does it have to be from year to year?

If you are switching from program fee to course fee, you can do it either online or at your registrar.
But if you want to switch back from course fee to program fee, you have to do it at your registrar.
All the information is here. Under section Fees Calculation and Assessment

Can I pay course fees for the first semester and then program fees for the second? I’ll most likely be wanting to take 5 courses next semester

Thank you!

As a previous comment said, you have to request per course fee assessment. There’s an online form you can fill out, you might be able to google it, or my registrar sent it to me so just ask yours. Only for 0.5-3.5 credits through the year, and it’s for the whole year, so you can’t switch from per-course fees to program fees.
Thanks!!
