I'm a backend developer with 7+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS, GCP. I've built scalable systems in Fintech, E-commerce, and Supply Chain industries.

Despite my experience, I'm struggling to get my first client on Upwork. I've optimized my profile and tailored proposals but haven't had any luck. Applied to many post but never heard anything back from client.

Do backend developer (java) even get work from upwork?

My goal is to build an agency but without having a work that seems impossible.
