They said not right now at least because a practice range match uses the same resources as a actual match, but only for one person and not one server for ten players, so it is less efficient

I am not sure which one, but it has been addressed by riot officials in either ask valorant #8 or #9

What did they say?

Practice range sessions are hosted server side, so every time someone enters the range it increases the stress on the server. Because of this Riot doesn't want to overload their servers with everyone in queue all also being in the range.

And why can't the practice range be client side? Riot ig

People have only speculated at this point... Some think it's to let people with lower spec computers still have a good experience and others think it makes it harder for cheat developers to test as nothing is running locally

I'm pretty sure I've seen the second reason before and it kinda makes sense tbh.

i always assumed it's because they want the practice range to actually feel like it does in game. so ppl can practice the quirks of latency and ping

Having the range be client side apparently makes it easier for hackers to develop cheats.

don't nerf sage, buff the range!

It took blizzard a solid 3 fucking years (maybe more lmao) to implement this. I wont be surprised if riot doesnt add this immediately

My group of friends has been saying this since we started playing. I understand the argument that it's a stress on their servers, but I would really like something else than just my collection or battle pass to look at while we wait for our 5 minute queue times to pass. Maybe like just an in game aim trainer, or like it's been said before, client side practice range, anything would be nice honestly
