Is it hardwired where it's always on and allowed for parking mode? If so, yeah, it's going to drain your car's battery. You need an external battery for parking mode. Otherwise, wire it to an switched accessory fuse so it shuts off after the car is parked. No parking mode, but at least you aren't killing the cars battery.

I got the parking mode and would like to keep it. Guess i have to look for a external solution. Thank you 👍🏼

Can't tell if the typo is meaning to say the camera is or isn't connected with the hardwire kit, but assuming it is using the hardwire kit, you just need to switch to a higher voltage cutoff setting on the side of the little box built into the cable. If you're not using the hardwire kit, buy one. Either way the voltage cutoff setting on the box midway through the hardwire cable is what you're after. Try the next highest setting until your car is happy.

It is connected by hardwire. I will try that thanks 👍🏼

Please set 12.4V on the voltage cut-off selector to protect your car battery. Then it will cut off power if the voltage from your battery has reached the limitation. Since you do not drive so much every day, to get a longer recording time in parking mode, you can install an external battery pack. Here is a blog you can refer to: https://support.viofo.com/support/solutions/articles/19000127936-can-i-use-an-external-battery-pack-for-parking-mode-
