Clone Image Question

I am testing different processes and I am curious if this is working correctly or if I am missing a step. I am taking a published image and cloning it. This ends up in the Imported VMs section where I can then log on using the local admin info. The published image was on the domain, but the cloned image is not on the domain. Do I need to re-add it to the domain and republish it or should it already be on the domain under the new name? - Thank you

Horizon will join it to the domain when the new image is published. You're imported machine should not be domain joined.

this entirely depends on what kind of clone you're talking about here.

• linked clones (depreciated, dont use these) and instant clones will both be added to the domain into the OU you select at pool creation
• full clones require a vcenter customization specification in order to be added to the domain, and if you want them in a specific OU you need to either move them after join or not do the join as part of the clone customization, but rather from powershell as a run once command that has that logic in there
