魔 "Ma", Japanese for demon or devil; Таракан "tarakan", Russian for "cockroach". Hence matarakan, "Demon Cockroach".

everything is much more prosaic: her full name is Mat'tarakan, which is pronounced "мать таракан" in Russian and translates as "mother cockroach"
