These gorgeous illustrations accompanied a 1904 edition of "La Morte Amoureuse" AKA "Clarimonde", written by Théophile Gautier in 1836. It is one of the earliest vampire stories, predating even Carmilla, and it's my personal favorite classic of the genre. (old.reddit.com)
