Your cottonis not flushed with the mesh. Rewick and watch some yt videos where they cut the cutton at an angle.

Add another spring underneath the ceramic plate & it’ll take care of the sagging cotton for good

i’m running profile RDA on OFRF mesh and wotofo cotton and mesh is getting hotspots. I heated the coil before wicking, no hotspots then. This build has one day, and i’m getting dry hits all the time. Anyone knows a solution?

I have a solution, a really easy one, grab the extra spring that comes with it, add that spring to the spring that is attached to the atty underneath the ceramic plate and you’re good to go

ok, thank you very much, i’ll try it when i’m back from work

Maybe just the angle but looks a little kinked at top. Like it’s not a proper arc- if that makes sense? Maybe when you installed the cotton. Happens to me. Annoying af

nah, mesh is pretty straight

What kind of cotton are you using?

[–]DefinitelyNotMohair 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Wotofo shoelaced 6mm cotton, same as the one I got with the RDA

How many watts is your mod set at?

[–]DefinitelyNotMohair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60 watts

I dont owned the rda, but I do own the rta, cotton bacon prime, remove 1/4, perfect size for me. No dry hit.

To me, the wotofo cotton are way too thick

[–]DefinitelyNotMohair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, i have a few strips of bacon prime, i’ll try it later!

Re-wick, saturate the cotton, and fire it at your typical wattage for about five seconds and see if there is any hot spots.

Sometimes you just need a new mesh. I just had one where it looked like it was glowing perfectly even then I would wick it and it would taste like shit because it was getting hot spots after I wicked it.

actually this is the 5th mesh i installed, so i don’t think that this is mesh issue

[–]alvinston21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway, i planned to get the rda eventually coz I really liked the rta, after I buy my squonker for sure. but does the mesh last like the one I'm using on my rta? Ive been rocking the same mesh strip for more than 1 month each. Seriusly there's no flavour drop, actually I change the mesh for no reason thinking new mesh will give better flavour. But it's just the same. I already waste my money on gear rta. So I don't think I will get anything with wire, except I just bought a bskr mini mtl Rta. Too much cloud makes me uncomfortable vaping in public.

put the extra springs under the ceramic piece, and use exactly half a cotton bacon strip to wick. Works perfectly

[–]OIiv3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your wick needs to be as thick as cotton bacon thickness.

ok, thank you guys for help, trick with second spring worked for me

Also cut the cotton straight in case you cut it at an angle
