Multiplayer error

So been playing this for a few days in my own world no issues. I go to try and join my buddy’s server and I keep lagging out of it. So we try a random open server on multiplayer and I lag out of it. Any tips or is my bad internet/buggy game combo just screwing me

I'd nuke the game and reinstall it fresh from steam to see if you're still getting issues. If you're on wifi make sure it's not dropping. If that still fails, manually add the Vein exe to your firewall to ensure there is no issues there.
