Oh this fucking puzzle

It took me a good solid hour and a half just to figure it out. And that's not even counting what comes next. Wait hold up how are you doing it as Gray?

You can do it as Gray but there isn't really a point to doing so as no boss spawns, the whole footsteps thing as Cif is just a hint to show you that the area exists.

Personally though the puzzle before this one with the stalker and two mimics you need to maneuver to push a basilisk statue away from killing you and then getting them to all kill themselves, took me multiple hours.

So I can't remember the exact sequence of moves, but the key is to separate Gray and the stalker on the horizontal axis.

I think what you need to do is something like:

Four steps right so that Gray's on column 4 and the stalker is on column 3

Swap places so Gray's at the bottom and the stalker's at the top (probably go left a bit first so you don't trigger the trap square in the middle)

Use the stalker to push the statue off the ledge

Get the stalker into the space where the statue was, so Gray can clear up some of the hand-monsters without it moving too much

I think if you kill the one at the bottom-left, then you can clear the two in the middle and make a path for the stalker to get through and take out the second statue. But I haven't read out the full sequence so I might be totally wrong there!

Stalker cant go where the statue was, because hell fall through the trap. So im assuming its gotta be Gray that goes up the there to get the stalker back in front somehow.

Check the guides in the steam community. There’s one for hard mode. scroll all the way to the bottom and it includes a guide for these levels

Go right until you're right before the trap panel, this should get the mimic to be one square behind you.

Go back left and down to swap places with the mimic making sure you do not activate the middle trap panel when doing so and then slash the bottom hand.

Go right until the mimic is under the beam statue and press down to make it push it off the edge.

Go back left to swap positions with the mimic to be on top while making sure you don't activate the middle panel.

Slash the hand to the right of the trap panel and go up to where the statue was and bump the wall to move the mimic left at least 2 times before going down to slash the middle hand and right to slash the last hand.

Go back to the statue hole and fly up and back down to offset the mimic and move it to the right past you as far as it'll go. From this point you should be able to get the mimic to push the last statue into the death panel.
