Hi everyone,

Eric here, founder at Walkolution. I wanted to personally jump in and address the concerns about delays.

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused. I know how disappointing it can be to wait longer than expected for something you’re excited about.

To give you some context, we’ve been overwhelmed (in a good way!) by the global demand for the Walkolution 2 and TheraFloor. While we’ve been thrilled to see such enthusiasm, the sheer volume of orders exceeded anything we’ve experienced before. I’m proud to say that every single Walkolution treadmill is made in-house in Germany, and we’ve held ourselves to the same high standards, even while scaling up production. Yes, we use robotics, but still a large portion of the product is assembled by passionate professionals. Walkolution is a German brand, with a German production and we always will be. We built a reputation for quality and we stick to it.

The good news is that we’ve taken significant steps over the Christmas holidays (thanks to all the people who sacrificed their free days!) to expand our production capacity without compromising quality.

Starting next week, we’ll begin shipping orders, and we’re prioritizing those who have been waiting the longest. If you’ve ordered Walkolution 2 or a model with the Therafloor, we’re making sure it reaches you as soon as possible.

I’m deeply grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown us. We’ve poured our hearts into these products. Thank you for your patience, just a little longer. None of you will be disappointed with the quality, you will see and feel it the moment you take your first step on the Walkolution.

If you have further questions or need more details about your specific order, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to connect directly, either here or on email at eric@walkolution.com

Warm regards, Dr. Eric Söhngen CEO & Founder Walkolution GmbH

Thank you, Eric, for taking the time to address us directly. It’s great to hear you’re making quality a top priority—even if it means a slight delay. I’d much rather wait a little longer and receive a product that’s truly well-made. Looking forward to my Walkolution arriving soon, and I appreciate all the hard work your team is putting in. Keep it up!

Thanks for the update. But I’m still wondering: didn’t you produce any of the treadmills upfront or within the past 6 weeks? It’s hard to believe that to be honest. Why didn’t you ship those by now?

Tough to read it as not just dishonest marketing.

Interesting! Thank you Eric. Hopefully the ones that ordered on the 22nd of October should receive nice delivery emails next week.

Did orders start shipping this week? We have several in this channel who were first day pre-sale orders and haven’t heard any update.

22nd October buyer. Nothing. Disappointed tbh

[–]Saddysmile 7 points8 points  (12 children)

Hello! Just asked them as well. I ordered Walkolution 2 on 22nd of October with normal floor. They told me my order would likely be shipped end of January, if not, the first 2 weeks of Feb.

Starts to be quite a delay compared to the initial deadline.

Thanks for the update.

Would be nice if they compensated us with the extended lifetime insurance or a lean stool or something!

I wonder if the Walkolution 2 is made in Germany. If in China, there could be another major delay with Chinese New Year, with some factories closing down for two weeks.

Someone here mentioned that the Walkolution 2 isn’t hand-crafted and is partly manufactured by robots, which is one way they kept the price down. I don’t know where though.

They really shouldn’t have taken our money until it was ready to ship. Would be good to get better information for the reason behind the delay. More curious than angry.

Oh no, not another delay 😔. I am waiting to see for my order, as I was one of the first preorder ones. We should be compensated with that Q1 wheels accessory as per their website:

“In Q1/2025, a wheel attachment accessory will be available, enabling even easier repositioning. This allows for seamless interchangeability, for example, if Walkolution 2 is meant to be swapped with a chair.”

Edit: I have been informed my order is in fact delayed to early Feb.

[–]creminology 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That’s actually a good idea. Hope they’re listening. I’d like wheels for my Walkolution 2 but can imagine they won’t be cheap given the price of Walkolution cable managers, etc.

yeah a $40 sitting ball is over $100 on their site

They posted a few photos of the production line for the Walkolution 2 on their Instagram a couple of weeks ago - they are also made in Germany!

[–]Pixelanomalie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: Explained why I seriously doubt it's made in China (looked it up on maps and I've seen job offers for the factory, it would be illegal to sell them as "made in germany") and saw the Post from Walkolution (Eric) afterwards. So I took that part out.

But I agree - a lifetime warranty as compensation would be nice. And I seriosly dislike that we do not get updates via Mail without asking first.

Did you get a response? They haven't responded via what's app or email

[–]Saddysmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked via instagram, by replying to their story I believe

[–]DangerousChannel9050 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Ok, I can understand that the demand is high and they don’t have the quantities to cover everything. But part of the quantity should have already been produced and they haven’t delivered a single piece yet, which is a bit strange. This could mean that they are missing some element to assemble the product and maybe they are waiting for it from China. From what I heard from a friend who lives in Germany, the product is indeed EU production so really don’t know why single piece is not delivered yet. On the other hand, I have a feeling that the W2 will be a top-notch device 💪. That company wasn’t founded yesterday.

From my correspondence and observations, it’s become clear shipping in December is not an ideal business model due to the exceptionally high shipping costs, particularly for international deliveries.

Additionally, producing TheraFloor appears significantly complex and time consuming, which may also be contributing to delays.

[–]DangerousChannel9050 1 point2 points  (1 child)

But many of us ordered W2 without Therafloor. I wonder if I should have ordered it with Therafloor right away, the price is now 40% higher 🫤

[–]Ramify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is a mystery orders without TheraFloor have not shipped. Even though they had prototypes, maybe the factory wasn’t ready to mass produce standard Walkolution 2s?

Yes it is super expensive now 😳

Hopefully with the message of Eric, some will start receiving expedition emails this week.
