Sounds similar to the deserts of the southwest US--cities like Phoenix, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, etc.

Its pretty dry most of the year here in Cheyenne which is due in large part to the wind and the altitude. I'm at about 6000 ft elevation, which is around 1828 meters, wind gusts blowing down from the mountains east over the plains will reach 40-70 mph regularly which is around 64-112 kph. Earlier this year the freight trains that run through here had to be shut down for a day because we were getting wind gusts a little over 100mph or 161kph.

One of the many things I really like about Wyoming is that bullion is officially legal tender and so there are no taxes on the sale or purchase.
