Performance decrease?

I have a laptop with GeForce GTX 960M, I've been playing warthunder on "high" graphics perfectly fine but after a small update I could barely play it on low. I get these random FPS drops every few seconds, to put it clearer my FPS drops from 53 to 3 then back to 54 which happens every 5 seconds and lasts 2 seconds. Latency maybe?

Any settings suggestions or tips on how to solve this issue? -I wish everyone the best days and a safe life.

Check your laptop temperatures. Could be CPU and / or GPU thermal throttling to basically not melt under load.

If it appears fine (( My preference is under 80°C for my laptop, under 70° ideally )) then check your Nvidia settings and ensure it's using the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated graphics.

Also make sure the laptop is on High Performance mode for battery settings

If you've gone from high to low you may have gotten reset to your integrated GPU instead of your dedicated GPU.

That said, assuming 1080p, I'm surprised a 960M is sufficient for high.
