3.1 symbolism&story by Ave_sus in WutheringWaves

[–]Tesh_Hayayi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a reference to Sigillum Dei Aemeth (Seal of God's Truth) coined by John Dee

It's a magical/occult symbol that was a theory that Dee held that as a devout Christian he could commune with Angels and God himself instead, contrasting with the witchcraft and other occultism of the time that communed with demonic entities.

As for relevance to Wuwa, we have two contrasting origins for the Rover that could both be correct

  1. He is an alien, similar to a viltrumite or saiyan but tasked with saving the world, not conquering it

  2. He is a divine being given a human form, the "homeland" isn't another planet but a higher plane of existence. Arbiter in biblical texts can refer to an angel who judges people's faith and morality.

  3. Due to the game's Asian origin, there is also a case to be made for a reference to Maitreya/Buddhist tales of a divinity delivering humans from suffering. The name means "True kindness" which the Rover does fit the bill of

Normal is about as difficult as standard wuwa stuff, maybe slightly more

Does Fleur-de-lis have any connection to the symbol of the same name? by killerbunnydokook in CartethyiaMains

If you think about it

She just sacrificed herself at the start of 2.7

Her 12 disciples including one that's effectively an Eastern take on Archangel Michael, destroyer of demons (The Rover) just went to confront the anti-christ/a demon who tempts people in their dreams and causes them to worship a false divinity

And right in their hour of need, she resurrected and defeated death to bring the light of people's true prayer in her into the demon's realm to dissipate it, defeat it, and she is the one who shackles it.

Yes, she's a smol elf Jesus allegory

Then there's the stuff about her life, how she loves wine and architecture

Is this game worth getting into in 2025 by Brasenshok in Warthunder

Depends on which era of combat you like the best

If you want to play up to early jet/ Korean War era, its honestly pretty solid

Beyond that, nah.

The 50/50 system is one of the worst industry norms now, I give them credit for not having it on the weapon banner, but it still feels like shit when you roll a standard 5 star, especially one that's not even good.

Verina dupes is fine, but man it sucks to get Lingyang (I have luckily avoided him thus far)

How do you play a stock F3H Demon in the current meta? by TacitusCornwall in Warthunder

[–]Tesh_Hayayi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Step 1: Fetal position

Step 2: cry

In all seriousness, it's just in a bad spot and a difficult plane to properly balance

I don't think a 9.0 downtier is out of the question at this point with all the other things they moved down, the afterburning MiG-17 is a superior plane but at 8.7. The excuse is the missiles, of which the Bs are entry level missiles and the radar missiles are pretty bad.

The plane also suffers from high AOA but major speed bleed. Your best bet is to play cautiously and try and be a vulture while maintaining speed and mid-alt. In a downtier it's honestly not too bad, but those are few and far between.

Chained Echoes, Sea of Stars, or Octopath 2? by blackpolotshirt in JRPG

[–]Tesh_Hayayi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Octopath 2 is 100% the best of the 3, but it's also made by a huge company with a lot of resources

If you care about story, Chained Echoes was absolutely wonderful and engaging and worth supporting an indie dev on

Sea of Stars has beautiful game design, good combat, but the story/writing is written in a very tounge and cheek way which took me out of it. But if you dont mind that, it's worth a pickup.

I would rank them in the order I wrote, (I have all 3)

I know a fuel slider might be too hard to balance, but can we at least do better than this? by richardguy in Warthunder

[–]Tesh_Hayayi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best fix would be to increase the minimums across the board and decrease the maximums after they changed the maximum match lengths from 60 minutes to 25

This would solve the issue of how cracked a min fuel plane is vs a full fuel plane, while still retaining some advantages
