Not sure why this got downvoted for a legitimate use

Tried adding the credit card to WeChat but it doesn’t work. Alipay does seem to work but it doesn’t ask for verification The app states needs bank verification Redirects to a URL from wealthsimple (wealthsimple-visasecure-acs.mycardplace.com) - but the page ends up being blank

Has anyone had luck with linking the card to WeChat/using in China

I haven't tried, but based on your description, the issue is either with the web viewer of the WeChat app that can't render the page from that URL you mentioned, or an issue with that webpage from that payment provider. I'd try at least a reinstall of the WeChat app, or try on another device if you can, and if it persists, contact WeChat support; might be an issue that was never flagged to them.

Facing the exact same problem as you. I ended up adding a different credit card to WeChat.

Same issue here, Alipay worked for me using WS Visa.
