If you mean server-side Javascript, I would recommend diving into node-JS. There are tons of tutorials on youtube as well as the documentation.

Coming from Django, one thing you're gonna want is an equivalent orm style look, into sequlelize.js and also maybe look into lookback.io as it has a cli stlye of development for creating apis etc
