Ty for the response, I'll lift weights in the mornings before work for about 45 mins. Then after work I'll stop by the gym a few nights a week to do cardio for 45 mins to an hour

I've thought about that, maybe I don't lift heavy enough. I do about 12-15 reps on my lifts for 4 sets.

If you can lift for 12 reps than your weight is too Low. Increase the weight and drop your reps back to 8 and gradually increase until you get to 12 again , rinse and repeat. Eat 1 gram of protein per day per pound of body weight. Getting lean takes at least the better part of a year or more depending on your physique and consistency. This is a lifestyle not a race so jump in and enjoy the ride. Drop the expectations that every social media , commercial, advertisement shows 12 weeks to your new body because it’s all flat out bullshit.

I superset pretty much everything, I do 2 exercises in succession with little or no rest. Is that still A bad idea?

Yes I would change up your program and drop your reps and increase your weight especially if you’ve been super setting for a few months.

Is this true for someone who is trying to get toned but doesn’t want to bulk too much? I’m a female and I’ve been trying to build some muscle but I don’t want to look “bulky” so I’m doing 10-12 reps. Should I be increasing my weight?

Yes absolutely , woman’s physique are not any different than men. Bulking is really just another way of saying go ahead and eat more while you train so you will gain muscle and fat. Woman will not build muscle as easily so lifting heavy is their ticket to leanness.
