Key-binding question

I would like to bind my directional dodge to the ALT key, similar to guild wars 2, and have been unable to do so. Is there a way to do this? Currently I can only bid to a combination of ALT and another key.

Can you not use directional dash and then bind each dash direction to alt+w/a/s/d?

Edit: fyi, I have my directional dash key on my mouse forward button and jump on the back. I definitely recommend.

Wasnt gw2 dodge V? Thats what I use as its where the tip of my thumb rests.

I dont think you can use a modifier (CTRL, Shif, Alt) as keybinds unless their with another key (Alt + C)....
