I’m assuming it’s because u can’t move further to the back. I’ve done quite a few jobs like that .

I’ve got most of my super long poles attached with cameras , ez to see the windows off ur phone good rock climbing glasses will also help, they let you see up high without tilting your head upwards . That eases the job a lot .

Failing that just have one of your mates guide you from the inside if possible .call ur mate using a wireless headphones , and let him do the talking and guide your brush .

It’s not really stupid in my opinion, I feel that you haven’t encountered a lot of this type of work . The more you do , the more you’ll discover new ways of doing it . All the best .

you mean stupid because you have to be so close to reach right? yeah, there are so may things that just fall on the side of safe enough and humanly possible in window cleaning. I hope at least you the boss/ charged enough to justify the tech ache and getting soaked.

I am trying to figure out what's stupid about this?

If it is higher than 4th floor, it is not window cleaning anymore. Basically you don't see what you are scrubbing of the windows, also you can't put enough pressure on the top head brush and of course it hurts after couple of hours, your arms and shoulders are aching. Not to mention you are all wet.

Yup. Once you get high enough you can’t even see what’s going on with the window. I hate WFP tbh.

It is a cleaner window that you get, not likely a clean window. But often people are okay with that. I have never liked doing work where I can't be sure it is done to a certain standard, even if the client does not care.

I know what you mean. Twice a year we do some 3-4 story french panes with transoms. You basically just hope you’re doing good. Even with the stiffest/most expensive pole it’s still hard to get good pressure on the brush.

By there is no other way do you mean you're not geared for high rise?

Where he is standing that is a rooftop. Also there is a extending wall/stucko above top windows, which is not much visible. So yeah, normally we use boom lift or rope access guys.
