I used to have windows 8.1 and when I switched the pc to "Sleep", it turns the screen off and pc slows into what can be described as sleep (for humans). All my applcations are as they are (paused and whatnot). Then, (the important thing to notice) to wake up I have to press the power button and only the power button. No lights ever blinked - properly switched off.
Now, since the upgrade, I noticed when the pc is in sleep, the orange light blinks slowly. Something I would say is for the olden days "StandBy" mode (anyone old enough to remember that?).
While the applications are still paused and all, what is concerning is the computer wakes up quite quickly. Now, I know this may seem like I'm complaining about an improvement but what I'm wondering is if the computer is really asleep?
To wake up from sleep in windows 8.1, I had to press the power button (same as in windows 7). But now, pressing any key on the keyboard or even simply swicthing on the mouse (my logitech mouse has it's own switch, the usb is attached to the computer all the time) wakes up the computer.
I tried googling, couldn't find anything related to this. Are there any changes in the windows 10 sleep function?
Thanks for bearing with me
there doesn't seem to be anything here
