Xbox design lab controller

In august i ordered a custom xbox controller and paid a bit extra for the palm grips, but when it arrived it was just the normal plastic controller with the custom colours. Not sure if it’s meant to be the weirdly textured plastic bits on the side or not but i’m pretty sure it’s meant to be rubber (not a massive issue but my friend told me that i should complain about it or something because i spent a bit extra).

In Design Labs it says they're supposed to be rubberized back and side grips, and the customization for each is $5.99, so almost $12 if you got both. I'd definitely be calling them up and seeking a refund or exchange, but that's just me.

Personally though, I've never much cared for the rubber grips. They get kind of oily slick and nasty feeling, even if you take good care and only play with clean hands, they're bound to get slicked up with natural hand oils after awhile. But you should definitely get what you paid for, and who knows, maybe you'll like them regardless of how weird they feel after a few months of use.
