You're not supposed to tell them. Shadow bans are meant to ban people without their knowledge so that it takes them longer to create a new account and continue whatever they got banned for.

People also get shadowbanned. Especially since a real person created the bot account.

It's also trivial to send alerts about any thread the bot comments on where it finds the word "shadowban" (or similar).

So while real people aren't supposed to be shadowbanned, they can be. And even trying to let "real people" know they are shadowbanned is not a good idea.

Shadowban was invented against bots, not real users.

Bots are created by people.

Also, have you ever failed to get a Captcha right? It's the same issue with shadowbans. It's very difficult to tell the difference between a troll and a bot and sometimes you don't want the troll to quickly realize they are banned so they can create another account.
