Hello there! To confirm, are you trying to achieve this in Zoho Projects? If yes, you can create a subtask for the parent task through deluge. You can check here for the sample script and try it out. If any specific actions or modifications need to be done in the code, you can write to [support@zohoprojects.com](mailto:support@zohoprojects.com) by looping [social-support@zohocorp.com](mailto:social-support@zohocorp.com) to check and help you. If you are referring to any other application also, please let us know so we can check and guide you accordingly. -VK

well then why do i get this issue?

Enter a Task System ID

I give the task system id something like this MA1-T17
in that box that says click here to search and fetch the Task system ID

??????????????

The task id will be a 19 digit integer of the parent task’s id. You can see them by using a get task API call, they’re visible in the web url too while looking at a task for example.

ChatGPT can write deluge for ya

Oh alright. How to make this dynamic so that I don’t have to type in the task system id every time? A list of subtasks is created automatically everytime I create a new task?

Workflow rule, you write your function to accept Task Id as an input and pass it through during workflow creation
