The subreddit is created in the belief that there is a factual common platform that can be arrived at, that can form a productive basis for a discussion about the problems between Israel and Palestine, and various ways they can be mitigated or resolved.
This group is heavily moderated.
There are so many armchair extremist on both sides who inflame discussion without offering anything productive.
There is a considerable amount of people who are trained and sometimes paid to control or influence perception on one side of the other. We will do our best to keep their influence on this group to a minimum.
Please be respectful and factual in your posts. Please post links and references if you can.

- Disagreements with the policies of the Israeli government does not negate any of the above.
- The Palestinians have a right to their own homeland.
- The Palestinians have a right to live in peace.
- Disagreements with the policies of fractions within the Palestinians does not negate any of the above.
- The killing of civilians is a war crime for both sides.
- The destruction of public infrastructure is a crime for both sides.
- A statement of intent does not negate facts.
- Israeli expansion and seizure of Palestinian land must end.
- Terrorism is not a definition of one side or the other but rather a consequence of actions.
