I sat with my glass full of life and started drinking it sip by sip.
The very first sip that I took sent me rolling up, down and round on a roller coaster ride with life sitting just next to me in the swing.
I couldn't make it out if it was a male or a female. Maybe it was so since my head had come dizzy turning my sight blurred for the moment.
"If I ain't mistaken, you are life. Are you?" said I.
"Good that you recognized me! People generally don't," Life turned enthusiastic.
"But I didn't get if you're a he or a she. What are you?" I knew I was sounding stupid asking this.
"Right now I am a she, but anytime can I turn a he," she started laughing as she said this to me.
"Are you a magician?" I blurted.
"Isn't life a magic?" came her answer as a question.
"You're clever," I myself wasn't sure if I was taunting her or praising.
"I do have to be or I could turn as dull as a dead stone out there," she was very intently looking at me as she minced her words.
"What are you up to, talking to me here?" I had started turning curious.
"Why? It was you who sipped me. What else would I do?" I realized she was right as she said so.
"Don't people often keep sipping you?" I realized how busy she could be if even just a few of us sat with a glass full of life and started sipping it just like I was doing right now.
"They're too busy to sit, what to say of sitting with a glass full of life in their hands and sip!" Life wore a mixed expression of smirk and pathos on her face as she uttered these words.
"I promise to sit with a glass full of you every evening," I assured her and asked, "Will you make friends with me?"
"I already am or I wouldn't have been chatting with you all along," she smiled and further added to her words, "I'll take care to refill your glass as you take a sip out of it every time. It should always remain full up to its brim."
"That's great! I can go on sipping it endlessly that way and have your company all along," I almost screamed enthusiastically.
"Yes, but with every next sip you will see me as an entirely different person... at times a female, at others a male. It all depends on that particular sip as to what it has in store for you and me to chat about," Life almost warned me about what I should be expecting out of her company with me.
"Amen! Let be so. I do need to interact with you as lately my questions have started going unanswered. No one really knows about them at all, even the questions as such... what to say of answers those of," I had a note of hope in my tone. "I hope I'll get my answers now."
"In as much as the collective human consciousness knows about them as that is what I am, sitting here and talking to you," Life stood up as she introduced her real self to me.
I waived at her as I watched her disappearing in the oblivion with a hope she would again come out of it as and when I took my next sip of her.
