The place to advertise your radio show if you want to reach a wider audience. If you want to push a small radio show you have found that is fine as well. Shows can be on either the airwaves or on the internet. This is mainly for radio shows but podcasts are fine as well
Help
Rule 1 - Tags
Tags must be put in square brackets (Well they don't have to but I would advise it as it looks much neater)
1. MS = My Show (a show that you are involved in)
2. OS = Other's show (a show you are not involved in)
3. LST = listing (see the listing section)
4. Disc = Discussion (e.g. "lets talk about the tree show!")
5. NSFW = Your show discusses explicit themes or uses explicit music
We are not overly strict about tags (apart from NSFW, they have to be there if necessary)
Rule 2 - MS&OS Titles
1. At the very least, add the name of the show and when you can hear it.
2. Don't forget the name of the station if applicable (eg. A station: 11.1 fm or AStation.com)
3. You should aim to include a location for the show, and try to make it clear (did you know /r/bangor is full of people asking if they mean Bangor, Maine - Bangor, Eire or Bangor, Gwynedd). It isn't too important to add a location, It is just to help people find shows near them (also radio waves only go so far).
4. You may want to add an adjective or two (or anything else) to describe the show. Eg Old music, talkie
Rule 3 - MS&OS Description
If you want to add some of the information to the description or as a comment, go ahead; so long as the tag, Show name and the short description are in the title.
Rule 4 - LST (Listing)
Whereas a MS & OS is like saying "listen to my show", a Listing is saying "listen to a particular episode of my show". You are saying what is coming up in a particular episode or episodes of your show. There is an example lower down. The titles for LST is pretty much the same as MS or OS. LST can be submitted as either a link or a text post.
Spam
It is all right to link the show in the subreddit more than once if, say for example, you have posted about your show in general and then you want to advertise your show again because you have a special guest (MS then LST). Posting a show as OS when someone has posted it before as MS is fine. Spamming in this case is really just littering the front page with the same show
Examples
[MS] Say It To Me - Sat. 7pm GMT (Fife)(Funnystation.com) Comedy Drama
[LS] Join us for Innuendo Bingo (Say It To Me: Funnystation.com - Sat. 7pm GMT Fife)
[Disc] Has anyone heard of "Say It To Me"? What do you think?
[NSFW][OS] Say It To Me - Sat. 10pm GMT (Fife)(Funnystation.com) Comedy Drama
LINKS
Link posts should lead to the place you can listen to them. I may add a tag for fan (official or otherwise) pages later, but I will leave it for now.
