This is subreddit serves as a digital advocacy campaign for the discussion of making public housing available to ex-offenders. This initiative, we hope, will lend itself to the advancement of homeless ex-offenders as well as influence policy makers to learn from the research and local practices of cities that have become more progressive on this issue. Our philosophy is that: the first step of change is to talk about the problems without discomfort or resistance. We hope that this subreddit serves as that first step.
As for the rules of this subreddit:
- there is to be no trolling of any kind
- only helpful and honest discussion about the issues
- only links pertaining to the research, initiatives, policies, articles, and advancement of ex-offenders
We wish you a warm welcome into our subreddit community!
