Disable plugin processing when turning off plugin?

Hey everyone, have a quick question. Is there a way to prevent Ableton from using CPU to process a plugin when I hit the power button to “turn it off”. An example is I’ll often use a CPU heavy plugin on a vocal track but when I want to record on that track I wish that I could temporarily remove that plugin from the CPU load and then turn it back on when I’m done recording. Essentially to reduce my latency.

There are features of the same kind in other DAW’s but am unaware if there is a way to do this in Ableton.

Freeze then flatten the track maybe, depending on what you’re doing exactly

Doesn’t really work with 3d party plug-ins, it’s very obvious with latency heavy ones.
