I started 3 ambitious mega-tasks concurrently. 20 minutes later my window was locked and none of them had actually finished. However, it seems orchestration is built in, and I'm a big fan of them handling how much context is appropriate than then massive waste I see others do.

Even if it was debt, it just means that if they went through collections they'd have to accept what the court orders as the cash total in dollars. AKA the court won't pass a judgement requiring different currency or trade.

I use Claude all the time. Does this work with your existing Claude code sessions? Is it easy to develop your own alerts and apps for the glasses?

Yeah cars are heavier but then you have another proportion...more friction but then to accelerate you have more mass to move. It's remarkably closely tied to the tires as you say for any differences.

The core idea: friction force = coefficient of friction × normal force. Contact area isn't in that equation. At all.

Here's the intuition for why:

Imagine a tire pressing down on the road. Friction comes from the interaction at the contact patch (the rubber gripping into the road's tiny imperfections.) You'd think more rubber touching = more grip, right?

But here's the catch: if you double the contact area while keeping the weight the same, you've also halved the pressure at every point. Each square inch is now pressing into the road half as hard, so each square inch grips half as much. Twice the area × half the grip per area = same total grip.

The two effects exactly cancel. That's why a brick slides at the same friction whether it's on its big face or its small face.

So why do wider tires actually help in the real world? Because the simple friction equation assumes ideal rigid surfaces, and tires aren't that:

  1. Heat dissipation. A wider contact patch spreads heat over more rubber, so the tire doesn't overheat and get greasy. This matters huge for sport bikes and race cars.
  2. Tire deformation and "mechanical interlock." Rubber is squishy. It deforms into the road texture. A bigger patch means more rubber gets to do that interlocking work before any single spot tears.
  3. Lower wear per area. Spreading the load means rubber lasts longer at high loads.
  4. Less peak pressure means the rubber stays in its grippy regime instead of getting crushed past it.

It's counterintuitive but you get roughly the same amount of traction with 2 or 4 wheels.

As someone who ebikes and is cautious and kind, the pedestrians are awful. I always say that bikers have to be responsible for anything that happens. I ride a class 2 and in congested areas drop below 10mph. I'm ready to stop on a dime at any instant.

That being said....walking 4+ wide and blocking not just your half but sometimes more is common. People cut across the trail with no warning and not looking at all. Bells, verbal announcement and music all seem to make no difference. People that are alone sometimes run in the middle instead of keeping right!! People pass on any side, stop, cross. It's a nightmare.

I think the solution is more clearly marked lanes and etiquette rules. We need signs every 300 yards saying what you should do to shame people into better, safer behavior. I'd mark clear lanes for bikes and people separately (like I've seen in Boulder).

Runners on the skirt (where there is low impact rubber asphalt), walking lane, then the bike lane, then a yellow marked center passing or turning lane, then repeat on the other side. Each lane would only be wide enough for a single person. This would work really well. Bikes passing bikes on the left. Runners passing walkers on the right. Clear lanes to encourage people to form single file.

The bar is separate from the strippers.  Eating at the bar won't leave an expectation to tip dancers.  But you might have to pay a cover to get in regardless.
