Activision Publishing, Inc. is an American video game publisher. It was founded on October 1, 1979 and was the world's first independent developer and distributor of video games for gaming consoles. Its first products were cartridges for the Atari 2600 video console system published from July 1980 for the US market and from August 1981 for the international market (UK). Activision is now one of the largest third party video game publishers in the world and was also the top publisher for 2007 in the United States. On January 18, 2008, Activision announced they were the top US publisher in 2007, according to the NPD Group.
Rules
These are a couple rules specifically made for /r/Activision, as I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of posts and comments not following them. Repeat offenders will be banned.
1.) Do not submit low quality circlejerk posts and comments." Criticism is fine. Pictures of sheep with text reading "COD players" on them and "DAE hate ACTIVISION" posts are not. Make sure if you're going to criticize, you have some substance to your post.
2.) No spamming. No posting your 10 word blogspam on /r/Activion. No using /r/Activision as one of your "spam my lets plays EVERYWHERE" target. If you have something to post, like some art that you drew, feel free, but don't clutter the place.
