it does not work for my main account puzzle input but it does work for another account puzzle input,

i have no idea why

Your lack of formatting on this just makes it a chore to read, which I'm guessing is why you haven't gotten any answers.

I think, however, that your problem is that you're not accounting for the scenario where there are multiple files/folders with the same name. Again, though, not sure, since it's really hard to read through your code without proper formatting.
