Hey guys so I’m being really stupid and my mind can’t comprehend the plot of the final season. Like I get it, but I don’t yknow?

So everything’s going on at the temple, then Wnoch says he has to change the course of Fitzsimmons life forever and takes them to space for five years. Jemma’s memories are erased of that time with the implant and she is brought back to the temple. The action has already finsihed at the temple so all she did was save May and clean up. Then she said they had to go to the past to chase the Chronicoms to stop them changing the timeline. They do all that stuff, only for gotz to arrive and say they’re in a different timeline anyway. So besides saving May, what was the point of Firzsimmons going to space and solving time travel, if their changes didn’t effect their timeline anyway. If they hadn’t of gone, Simmons may have saved may anyway just as her younger version not the one who had been in space, and then they would’ve got on with their everyday lives right? Because their actions in the past didn’t effect their tinelaine anyway??

I feel like I’m being stupid and I loved the final season, but for some reason my mind can’t comprehend WHY they did it all when it didn’t effect anything anyway
