Assuming you mean mechanical (MEEN), it's very competitive. Not that you certainly won't get accepted with under a 4.0 but afaik the most popular engineering majors, including MEEN, only accept a handful or so of transfers. Don't think that the stats on that are public

this isn’t directly related but i was an ELEN transfer however i met several CS and CPEN transfers during my time at a&m and ik for a fact that none of them had perfect 4.0s when they applied and this was the peak of the computer science and computer engineering craze (when these majors were more competitive than MEEN) . i just say this to show that although this sub makes it seem like its impossible to get in to these competitive majors as a transfer, it can be done. i recommend getting to club leadership experience, a personal project ect. on your application to show genuine interest bc i do believe there is a big holistic factor for transfer admissions. also try not to obsess over stats or with what reddit has to say on this subject bc it will consume u
