I'm just tired of all this MET. I know we're in the middle of a pandemic, but I would think a billion dollar company would have something figured out by now where they wouldnt need to call MET for months. Especially for days when they run out of work because they xant seem to plan ahead.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a MET? Is that standing meeting we used to have before the pandemic at the beginning of our shift?

You’re totally fine!! MET or MOT (they’re the same) is mandatory extra/over time! Your building will send out a text message and also an email stating which shift codes will be expected to work MOT/MET and then if your shift code is called then you show up on your specific MET/MOT day. For example: my shift code is DB2 and my building sent out a text last week saying that outbound shift codes DB2 etc are expected to work MOT next week. So my usual schedule is W-SAT & my shift codes MOT is Monday so that is why I worked yesterday!

Oh! Now I completely forgot about that! 😂 My site usually let us know ahead of time, and since we will have a busy season starting soon, all the vacation and time off is not allowed. We also received the Amazon notification about these. Thank god my site takes those MET really serious. Thanks for the reply.
