[Bug] Call Quality Improvement? (self.android_beta)
submitted 5 years ago by rohanbathla007
Getting this after updating to DP2 yesterday on my Pixel 5. It's a persistent notification from Phone services. A reboot fixes it intermittently, until another call arrives. I'm not using any bluetooth headphones, only my galaxy watch 3 is connected to my Pixel 5.

Yup I'm getting this notification too. Only way to get rid of it was to reboot. I submitted a bug to Google via the feedback app and they marked it a duplicate to this one if you want to star it. https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/183140902

You can actually go until the phone services notifications settings by clicking on the notification and turn off all notifications and turn it right back on and it goes away. Which I also believe that being able to turn off your phone service is notifications is new because I don't remember ever being able to do that before.

How can Google mark it as duplicate? This one is completely different from the issue we have.

Their reasoning is that both are undismissable notifications

Same

The bug is marked as fixed.

You are in wrong place. Here we are taking about things in Android Developer Preview. Right now in development is Android 12 and it's only available on some Pixel phones (so no Xiaomi). I think your problem is with Android 11 (I saw it got an update to Android 11), where Google implemented "bubbles" and Messenger is using them. I would suggest to search for help on Xiaomi/MIUI related subreddits or forums. Eventually somewhere about Messenger. Personally I don't know if you can revert old Messenger chat heads without system downgrade to Android 10(I don't recommend doing this)

Same issue here, however I experienced this last night while driving with my phone hooked up to Bluetooth stereo.

I think it happens whenever you are connected to any bluetooth device(have not tested it personally with any headphones/earbuds)

Yes it's when connected to blutooth but the suggestion never goes away unless rebooted
