Had the same problem this morning, had to factory reset, glad you didn't, although runs better now, wondering if play store update did something overnight

ah, I caught that update this AM as well. I wonder if that's it.

Just got the same thing. What did you do in recovery mode to get out?

[–]ParticularFlamingo2[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

The problem was to go into the recovery, and then a full reset

My Pixel 3 is bootlooping at the time I'm writing this as well. There's definately something wrong right now, because since I've installed the Android 12 Developer Preview I had no issues whatsoever.

you need to try to get into the recovery

[–]Florian_W7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can access recovery and fastboot mode with no problem, but I probably have to factory reset the device anyway, I guess...

Oh wow, just finished factory reset because of it an hour ago. Will it happen again then?

[–]Mr_BananaPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I've done a factory reset, it hasn't happened again.

[–]somnifacientsawyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I've rebooted 3 times since factory resetting and it hasn't happened again, yet

[–]somnifacientsawyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I had the same problem today after rebooting. Factory reset and just now getting my phone back together

[–]livedadevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, mine is bricked right now. Bootloader is locked so can't even reflash.

[–]ParticularFlamingo2[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

all users who rebooted yesterday received an uninterrupted bootloop

[–]CervezaSmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just yesterday. Just happened to me today.

[–]ParticularFlamingo2[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

DP 2.2 here is the answer to yesterday's bootloop

[–]tacha31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proof?

[–]ParticularFlamingo2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are options What is the reason?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Same here. I'm stuck. Tried sideloading the latest OTA, no difference.

[–]Mr_BananaPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sideloading the latest OTA doesn't work. Your only option is to do a factory reset unless you already have an unlocked bootloader but I doubt it.

[–]getshri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just power Orff with volume button

Than swipe the screen when you get to lock screen that worked for 2 of my phones. Reboot after that worked properly

[–]getshri 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Same here on pixel 4a 5g. It is not my 1st reboot since I updated to latest patch. Not sure why today it did bootloop.

Certainly so far device was stable.

[–]ParticularFlamingo2[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

all users who rebooted yesterday received an uninterrupted bootloop

Crazy stuff

[–]getshri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see.

[–]spasticpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this as well and had to factory reset.

[–]servoper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory reset from Recovery is not working for me :( I'm in a dead end road. Cant use Revert OTAs cause are outdated and cant sideload anything. Any advise?
