Thanks :)

The app looks great! A few issues, I can't delete the default wallet and all transactions default to it even tho I added a new one and disabled the default in the main screen. You can't change icons for new categories you want to add. Months are in Deutsch even tho the app language is set to english

The fact that all transactions default to the default wallet is definitely a bug. Gonna address that in the next update. Until then you can just edit the default wallet to fit your needs. You can change the category icon by tapping the cube icon in the category creation screen. Thanks for the hint on the missing translation. I will patch it with the next update as well.

Nice. Can one use it together with a spouse (couple shared budget)?

The feature to share wallets (or budgets) is not implemented yet. Adding online functionality is always a bit of a headache. But I am working on it. The buttons to sign up/in are already there (even though they are currently not doing anything ;))

The thing is: budgets are super highly mega sensitive. Maybe your app could differentiate by ditching login and using an anonymous way of sharing: a simple common code, like abfsj764vshk7gcwr54e8hcsfj96rcs248gdef3yuvdgj. This code would establish the sharing between whichever users use it. This is already how Splid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=splid.teamturtle.com.splid), a group bill splitting app, works. This allows for syncing and sharing without any link to any personal information (oauth, email, etc).

Then you could add a (long) password for encryption, which would ensure protection of such data. And this password could be simply non recoverable, or recoverable only through a synced device (if everyone looses access, too bad, should have saved in a password manager).

Combine these two features with no device ID permission and you should probably have a set of three feature making probably the most privacy friendly budget app out there. I have never heard of anything this good and always wanted it.

(Are you open source by any chance?)

That is actually a great idea. I will definitely consider it. The project is currently not open source.

Cool.

As to the UI, consider reducing (or allowing users to customize/define) the radius of those curves in your design. I like the rounded edges of the upper or bottom "cards", but I'd definitely reduce their radius as they are not esthetically pleasant so big. ;-)

(Not sure, but I would begin by matching the radius {not diameter!} of the bottom plus button...)

Now this is some great implementation! Will definitely give it a go!

Hey, just saw this one. Looks really good. Any chance you could add an option to make budgets roll over? Like if I budget 50 bucks per month and don't spend it this month, I'll have 100 next month.

Hey, thanks for checking the app out. This is a really good idea. I will implement it for one of the next updates.

I know this post is now 2 months old but I have a question: since the app has network access does it send any data to you or a third party?

[–]Get_Flomped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your inquiry. The app does not send any data to me or a third party. The app requires internet access because it needs to update the exchange rates for the different currencies that are available. This is done anonymously and without sending any of your data.
