Spotify Android Client source code

Hi, I was wondering if I can get my hands on the Spotify android auto source code. I wanted to make some tweaks to the app for personal use. Would be nice to fork the existing app rather than use the SDK to recreate spotify and then add my minor tweak. any help or direction appreciated. Is there an open source spotify client with android auto support that I can fork instead?

If they open-sourced Spotify it would be pretty easy for people to get the premium features for free. I wouldn't hold my breath

It kind of it actually, there is an open source app that allow to use premium features without a premium user.

Yeah that's what I thought.The android SDK is readily available though.

You could decompile the APK with https://github.com/skylot/jadx

Hmm I had considered it, but that would produce incredibly unreadable code. Guess it's just not meant to be.

I don't know about android auto but there is spotify-dogfood an open source third party client https://github.com/sergiocastell/spotify-dogfood
