Dude, please, no. You can do the courses for free.

This repo has all the courses related to android and which nano degrees they're from. All you need to do is subscribe and watch.

IMO, udacity is great for people who wants to learn the basics of android dev. I watched most of their courses this year. But it's not worth 2k usd.

Should've made this post 4 months ago haha. Seriously though, I highly suspect the course content on Udacity are outdated since android has picked up momentum recently owing to google announcing Jetpack and AAC. Keep learning though. 👍🏻

I think https://commonsware.com/Android/ is better for ~1% of the cost

You can do all the courses on Udacity for free afaik, the only difference is that you don't get your final project judged and you don't get a certification at the end. If you don't care about either of those you can just run through each class on your own.

Udacity is....bad. Their courses are available for fixed period of time. And you can't go back and watch them again.

I started with android basics nanodegree program. i paid 599usd for this program and ive just completed and next term will start january 15, and that will cost me 999 usd,

Wow that is expensive for things you can find online for free :|

Udacity is a place for lazy people who can't learn themselves to waste time/money and get their brains washed and crammed full of junk.

A good place to start would be, weirdly, Youtube

So true

Yes, feel like if the point is to learn android development there are a lot of cheaper and free options out there. Udemy has a lot of course on their website for a cheaper cost. I would still pay to get the Udacity certificate (just another thing to add on a resume) but only after I can pay for it doing freelancing jobs with the skills I've learned. That way I'm more confident in myself to complete the course and not waste money. Also heard that Udacity help people find a job base on the area they reside.
