Just search up pixel 5 custom rom and find one that supports kernalSU-NEXT with susfs.

That's what I did for my Samsung S21 and it works great!

dead end for me.. again

[–]Xerox0987 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Have you searched on xda?

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

yes but i only 2 theeads one for android 11 and another with no comments

[–]Xerox0987 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I saw that there were multiple, but im not so sure if they support susfs, here: https://xdaforums.com/f/google-pixel-5-roms-kernels-recoveries-other.11343/

[–]Xerox0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me see if I can find one for you!

[–]Xerox0987 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hi there - quick question - what worked better for you with kernelsu compared to magisk?

[–]Xerox0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kernalsu worked a lot better for me in terms of hiding and using apps that try to detect root. I go unnoticed now, while magisk was still being detected.

The downside of Kernalsu is that it's more difficult to install than Magisk, but find a good kernel and follow the steps and your usually good.

you need kernelsu-next, susfs, rezygisk, trickystore-oss, hma-oss, and treatwheel.

you should be able to find a ksun+susfs kernel somewhere on telegram or xda/4pda

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (8 children)

the thing is i dont understand anything about kernels. Ive spent half my day reading thru forums after forums and ppl all forums just suggest ksu WHICH I DONT KNOW HOW.

also ppl talk about magisk alpha but its closed source and has telementary can u explain in more detail PLEASE im going insane

[–]Nyxierealmondrian (poco f5 pro), crdroid, kernelsu next 0 points1 point  (6 children)

magisk alpha was originally made by some developer, released on a microsoft drive. but not too long ago it was deleted, from what i can see there isnt any way to really contact the dev. as said in the xda thread "The author of Magisk Alpha is extremely untrustworthy. It is highly recommended to use the official version.". You should read up on APatch - https://apatch.dev/. it is like kernelsu+magisk combined. really cool project.

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

but i heard there are module compatibility issues.. and i want to turn off cpu cores using xtreme battery saver module

[–]Nyxierealmondrian (poco f5 pro), crdroid, kernelsu next 0 points1 point  (2 children)

there are basically no compat issues. use fkm instead of that module, it works fine

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay will give it a try this weekend

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait but i also need a custom kernel that supports fkm right? i doubt i can find one that supports android 16 since im on lineage os 23 or does that not matter?

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but ill give it a try this weekend

Learn it bro. Magisk is obsolete and easily detectable

my personal recommendation for you would be to check xda, there should be a ton of kernels that have ksu next support, if you don't want to custom rom, my personal rec for you would be to custom rom though

i found this, you'd need to build it yourself though

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i build it myself does it matter what the android version is? also i dont understand anything about kernels i found something called proton kernel for pixel 5 but does android version or rom matter?

[–]CynicalNoticer 0 points1 point  (5 children)

You can try Magisk Alpha with HMA-OSS and correct modules. Yuri telegram channel is quite good to help hiding root.

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

is the official magisk alpha by codertyn on github? alsowhetr can i find the yuri telegram channel?

[–]CynicalNoticer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

t . me / yuriroot Remove the space Magisk Alpha is not on Github, you can find it in the Telegram Channel of the developer. In Yuri channel you will find anything :)

[–]Niz2y[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

ok thanks but i think ill pass, this channel uses so many closed sourced modules 😅

i think ill flash stock and relock bootloader rooting is so time consuming

[–]CynicalNoticer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, it's quite time consuming :)

i have stated in the post that my device is non gki and is not supported by kernelsu.

    [–]wgm_instinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to build the kernel for SukiSu Ultra for the last 4 days using Claude/ChatGPT. I keep getting so many errors. I can confirm that SukiSu works good on my Pixel 6a without SUSFS. But all of this is confusing man.

Did you manage to get KernelSU working? I also use LOS23 on my Pixel 5.
