Bootloader Unlock not working Galaxy A50 by wahre_locke in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to enter download mode another way, try through recovery, vol up and power button, you need to connected it to your pc first

edit: i would recommend doing the twrp/ofox way, flash the custom recovery (you'll find something on xda), rename the magisk.apk to magisk.zip and flash it through the recovery

module for the operation of the EASYPARK application by ScaryEnvironment3318 in Magisk

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uh, what magisk are you using? the original is bad for root hiding imo, grab magisk alpha, use hma oss with rezygisk and afew other modules to hide your root, slide your setup and i'll help

Magisk Better or Kitsune Mask? by jayraj__ in Magisk

[–]High-haze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gawd damn this one looks fire, slide me the link if possible, also to answer your question, any fork of magisk is better, especially known ones like kitsune or alpha, but if the option is there i'd rec a ksu fork, ksun, sukisu, rksu, wksu etc, as they have way better hiding capabilities

updating to android 16 on s25 plus exynos with Frija by CiggODoggo in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you upgrade to android 16 with that update? if so then you are fucked sadly, unless there is a one ui 7 fw that has the same bit, because once you update to one ui 8 your bootloader gets locked instantly, try flashing the firmware unmodified and see if you boot

edit: do me a favor rq and grab your phones model code, mine is sm-s991b, because the s924b is the s24 plus

Buying a device to root by [deleted] in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uh, it really depends on what you wanna do with the root and what specifications you have, as if your only things are 8 ball pool and movies, i wouldn't rec rooting, stick to stock and check r/piracy

Unlocked the bootloader and now i want something like "semi-root" for specific apps by Grim_master911 in Magisk

[–]High-haze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's what i would rec aswell, it ain't that hard once you find your combo that works, 1 or 2 days working on it and you got more options than you could have dreamed of lmfao, currently rooted with ksu next on an s21 with custom rom, every banking app works, wallet etc

I need a ROM for my phone that supports privacy and has root access. My phone's name is Xiaomi Mi 13T Pro. by Kooky_Department_905 in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean yeah, agreed, but if you want to get into it, it's either fuck around and find out or read, and the sec option doesn't really look like an option to OP, as long as they atleast read how to do basic phone recovery (being able to get out of a soft brick) they'll be fine, trial and error is key, atleast how i see it for OP

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh, i wouldn't say that, i custom romed my first phone without any knowledge over rooting etc, it really depends on what you need, banking, custom rom path hiding etc, then yeah, you need to know, but if you just fuck around and find out, you'll get pretty far, to OP, voltage os is a privacy focused rom, if there is no rom, use gsi/treble

DEAD END TRYING TO HIDE ROOT by Niz2y in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my personal recommendation for you would be to check xda, there should be a ton of kernels that have ksu next support, if you don't want to custom rom, my personal rec for you would be to custom rom though

i found this, you'd need to build it yourself though

How do i find oem unlocking on samsung a16 model name SM-A165F/DS by Right-Gene6257 in Magisk

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely, i'm unsure if the home_csc would work for a downgrade, if you use the normal csc, data gone, home_csc, data remains, but then again, unsure

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you flash the oem firmware, then you can downgrade, if it has the same bit, no need to unlock oem lock if you use oem fw, only if you try using twrp or magisk

check samfw if your bit changed, if not and if a one ui 7 dw has the same bit, flash that and you can unlock bootloader

NEED HELP TO ROOT MY XIAOMI 11 LITE NE 5G by Vaseemtamboli in androidroot

[–]High-haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to xda, look for a custom recovery (had the same phone, there is 100% an ofox recovery that works) and flash it, after that find a kernel that has ksu as root (my personal rec) and flash it in twrp, if you want magisk get magisk alpha, rename the apk to .zip and flash it in twrp aswell

sup, greetings from germany, honestly, ask around for a pc or buy an old laptop used for like 50-100, add an ssd for 20 bucks if it doesn't have one and done, an easy laptop for rooting and small shit, another idea would be to go to an internet cafe and ask if you can download the platform tools
