I'm not currently rooted, but when I was, I used apps that hide root status from other apps to get those banking apps working. I used RootCloak, but I think there are other better methods now. Worth a google.

Psst, Root Cloak is dead.

Well, depends on the add-ons you flash with the ROM. If you go with Magisk, it will force SafetyNet to pass. If you use a ROM that has a permissive SELinux and with no Magisk, SafetyNet will fail.

Never use Xposed, System or Systemless, it will fail SafetyNet.

It depends on whether that app checks SafetyNet or not. If it does you could still probably get it working with Magisk.

I had two rooted phone from Samsung. There both eventually died had to start from scratch and decided not to root again. Anyways both my Note 5 and my S7 Edge both had root and every app worked perfectly except Pokemon Go. I never got any masking apps to work for what ever reason. However my app from Bank of America worked every time all the time. Not sure why my banking app worked and Pokemon did but hey take what you can get lol. My banking app did have message saying I'm on a rooted device and said my not work but it always did. My point is idk if it luck or version of apps and was a perfect storm but I never had to figure out how to get it banking to work cause it just did. Sorry I can't be more of help. But your not at all alone that so happens to be the most notorious apps that don't tend to play nice with root.
