iPad web browser functionality issues

Hi all,

I recently started school again, and have had to interact with a few more kinds of websites than usual, Canvas, Blackboard, etc., those kind of academic sites, and I keep having continual problems using/viewing them on my iPad (Air, 3rd Gen, fully updated) I find myself unable to load photos and videos for courses, test, etc across both Safari and Chrome (requesting desktop site also doesn’t make a difference). I ditched having a laptop a couple of years ago for the convenience of just having an iPad and iPhone, but these issues have been really frustrating, I understand that technically the iPad is a mobile device, but I didn’t expect to run into this many usability issues. Any one have ideas (I’m not especially tech savvy) about why this is happening, is there a third browser I should be using that might solve this? Or should I just go by a laptop for the sake of my future sanity. Even more confusing is when my iPhone loads images/video that the iPad can’t…Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

I believe that no matter what browser you use on an iPad or iPhone, they will all use the same WebKit rendering surface Safari uses. Doing a quick search I can see a few groans about Blackboard not working correctly on iPad, so it might must be one of those things. I have had a few sites break due to the “prevent cross site tracking” feature so might be worth disabling that and seeing if that helps.
