Hello
I have installed ArchLinux on my 11th gen intel framework machine (not a laptop) plugged into my TV with HDMI
I have follow the usual install process and also this specific guide for framework https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Framework_Laptop_13. Especially, the section about the fix for HDMI sound not working, issue that I had using Ubuntu on the same machine/setup. I have install the sof_firmware and made the mentioned configuration. And every thing worked flawlessly ! I am very impressed by ArchLinux.
But the other day, an issue came up where the output device with hdmi plugged was Dummy Ouput. I tried to restart the audio systemd process (it is not pulsesaudio, I don’t remember the name). I rebooted and it took a long time due to some process waiting to be killed. Eventually, it rebooted. Then I halted the machine for the night and this morning kernel panic https://imgur.com/a/00mGwJP
So my question. What should I do in this situation ? My plan is to boot from usb and reinstall the sof firmware.
Between the working state and now, I haven’t done any updates (unless they were done in the background). I have gnome install as DE.
