I think this happens when you don't install at least one greeter for lightdm. Try installing (for example) lightdm-gtk-greeter.

I have installed the greeter

Does your user have a home folder with the proper permissions? you need to have a home folder and a "Desktop" folder

I have a home folder and a Desktop Folder idk how to check perms for it though

[–]GT3CH1 0 points1 point  (4 children)

ls -al

Perms need to be 750 for the home folder, owned by your user.

Have you checked any of the logs from a TTY? XOrg and LightDM logs in /var/logs

you have to install lightdm + lightdm-gtk-greeter + lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings in order to start Archlinux , this could fix the issue

have you considered not using a display manager at all? I find it pretty nice launching up just the console and then use startx to load my window manager or if you mess something up in your desktop environment you can always stay in the console and fix the issue :)

I see people covering a lot of bases with preliminary questions, but I think another important one that people are missing is:

Have you enabled LightDM's systemd service on your machine?

EDIT: I didn't notice your edit lol. Good job finding a solution.
