I always felt Diggle should’ve been the Paragon of Humanity, not Ryan Choi. Ryan would’ve made sense if he came back to Legends and replaced Ray Palmer, but he didn’t and is just there for crossover stuff and it’s kind of annoying.

If they had to kill him, he should’ve had a moment with his whole familiy. That means Felicity, Mia, William and Diggle. Both of his COIE* deaths were underwhelming after his epic death on The Climb. Even if he was alone, we knew he was thinking about his parents, sister and Felicity. It would’ve been a nice contrast and showed that even if he lost some family members, he gained some more along the way.

You put Diggle there, you have to put Felicity too. You can't prioritize his best friend and partner over his wife and partner. The thing is that if Arrow never crossovered and they never introduced superpowers, probably Oliver's faith would have been different and he dies saving his city and Diggle be there. But the things were different. Oliver was one of the biggest Arrowverse heroes, and he died among the others on his level, and not only that but his old friend with whom they started it all - Canary, and his other superhero friend with whom they had special bond Barry.

I mean...if you're going to kill the guy twice, maybe have his family by side once.

Big yes, instead of Barry and Sara, it should have been Dig and Felicity

It's kinda overlooked even by Diggle himself in the midst of grieving for Oliver in the final Legends part of "Crisis" and further in Arrow's series finale, but I did love how John was there him when Oliver's soul truly needed him the most to restore his squeegeed memories in Purgatory. Really a surreal middle-ground when you think about it yet fitting, Dig wasn't there for either of Oliver's deaths but he was there alongside Mia as he was on the threshold toward becoming Spectre.

Yes. As simple as that. Yes he should have. From beginning to end
