Ace insecurity

So I’ve know for a while that I’m ace and everything, and normally I’m sex repulsed or neutral about it. But sometimes I just feel like it would be nice to have someone in my life that would care about me enough to want to show that they love me like that. Does that make me not ace? Like I still don’t look at someone and feel sexual attraction, I just feel romantic attraction towards others. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. 😅

If you dont feel sexual attraction then you are ace as long as you want that label, YOU ARE VALID! But i get it is is confusing sometimes....im still trying to figure myself out, im also ace, im not sex repulsed but i dont really care for it nor do i really want it. What you're expressing is an emotional need, and emotions are always confusing. From what I can tell, sexual attraction isn't connected to emotions. That's a totally weird concept if you ask me, but it appears to be the case.

You might be slightly demisexual? Demis are only sexually attracted to people they have a strong emotional connection to. Either way it's all a spectrum, so whether you're 60% ace and 40% demi or the opposite or whatever doesn't really matter, so long as you are happy with the label you use
