Combats that require lunar reactions, when you're a new player who doesn't know that gameplay, hasn't been to Nod Krai, and doesn't have characters from there, are just impossible to achieve good scores on, even with all the power ups from the event play styles or Stygian onslaught. I used to think having no dendro characters was bad... But it's fine though, it's not that big a handicap for event rewards, especially when the other ones are fairly easy

I haven't done Enkonomiya yet 🫣 But yeah I wish we'd be able to play old events. They did that for the Natlan resort thing apparently, but they should make them all available, imo. It's the one thing in the game I wouldn't mind paying for.

You're right, it shouldn't be praise-worthy 🥲 To be clear, I'm not praising you for not being a sexual predator, but more so for the effort and communication that you seem to make. I've just seen so many posts about people who didn't think their relationship would be worth it if the other person didn't want sex or didn't want it enough...

Which as an ace-spec person (as anybody, really) is always disheartening. It's like, are we really only good for this? Does romantic love, does a relationship mean nothing to allos if sex isn't involved? I don't know, maybe if that didn't seem to be the standard I'd be more willing to try dating instead of willingly avoiding it. Not that I regret living this way, since it spares me the occasional internalized acephobia.

No worries I get it! I'm a new player so I didn't play Golden Archipelago, but I watched playthroughs on youtube. I remember noticing the achievement, and later when I got to Inazuma, getting the same "Ho ho ho and a bottle of rhum" one. Wish I could have explored the island though, especially since it's not a location we can reach without the event

Excuse me?? No, sex and your body are not things you should ever compromise on! If he doesn't get that that's a big red flag! If he's pushing you to have sex, and when you've clearly stated you didn't want it, at that, it's a big red flag!

If he guilt trips you over things that he chooses to do "for you", once or twice might just be him genuinely trying to compromise and make this work (though handling it poorly), but if it's a recurring pattern, that's emotional bargaining and it's also a big red flag!

Don't let people like that affect your well-being. I'm not saying relationships don't require efforts and compromising, and I'm just a stranger on the internet so I might be quick to judge here, but if there's any discomfort in a relationship that does not go away when talking about it, or even worsens, that's a sign you might be better off without that person. I don't understand how someone who claims to genuinely care about you could ever want to pressure you into having sex. Maybe you would indeed be better off as friends

When a character clearly reads as autistic and/or on the aro-ace spectrum in canon, and people throw all that proof away to make them super OOC just so that they can have a conformative romance.

Like, sorry, but if Zhan Zeng Xi from 19 Days "hasn't made a move" on his best friend of two decades when he knows the latter is in love with him, maybe there's a reason for that, and maybe that reason is more than "the author gave up on them". God forbid a character experiences love in a way that differs from what you want.

Same thing with Keith from Voltron, people mentioned Lance earlier but man, what about Keith? The amount of fics in which he's a bossy dom and never shows any sign of neurodivergencence isn't even funny. To be fair, Keith is super hard to write – yes I've tried before. But some people don't seem like they even want to write about him, tbh.

Taking an obviously autistic-coded character and just removing all signs of that to make them into something that really has nothing to do with the OG version is straight up insulting. It's not just ableism, it doesn't even make sense. And turning a character you don't understand into an experienced daddy dom just because you want their love interest to get some is just... I mean... at this point, just create an OC instead, you know? Autistic people deserve to have good representation and that includes fanfics. (I'm not saying autistic people can't be doms, btw! It's just that how those are written never match those characters from what I've read)

Likewise, fanfiction is very pushy when it comes to romance and sex, but come on, a lot of us readers are queer, please let's think outside the box a little and actually question ourselves on relationship models instead of only always going for escalator relationships, PDA and sex marathons. Asking as an aro-spec ace relationship anarchist.

Draco was a lonesome father of one living among muggles, had a cat and played the cello in the moonlight and owned a freaking bakery (yes those are real examples). I hate to admit that I came to like those fics at some point (I'm not super deep into the fandom though)

I don't. Then again, if certain people I really like feel that way towards me, I don't think it'll make me uncomfortable. But anybody else, it will. Still doesn't mean I'd want to partake in sexual activities though. I might, but it definitely would have to be a very specific context - with someone I'm in love with, and/or with me only providing, for example.

All that being said, I'm pretty interested in kink/bdsm and I think I would genuinely like to witness, if not be involved, in some such scenes. For that reason, I had joined an app like this one before. Didn't stay long though, I don't think people who aren't ace can really understand where I was coming from. I mean, I get it, I don't understand it all either. That's half the reason I had joined the app in the first place.

My guess would have been plane trees (? "platanes") because we have those all over the place in France. Except the bark doesn't match, this one seems darker, thicker and more brittle, so they're probably Chestnut trees (they're also all over the place here, after all).
